Originally established by Andy Farmer in 1998 as Air Freelance, the company was set up to supply ground staff to airlines on short term contracts such as maternity leave cover, new project support etc.

Using over 42 years of Andy’s experience and knowledge, the company developed over the years and then re-branded in 2014 as af-aviation.

We are an independent operations support and ferry flight service provider, specialising in the support of Airbus, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, Embraer, Bombardier and ATR aircraft. Narrow-body types such as the Embraer 145/170/190 family, Bombardier Q400, Boeing B737, B727, B757, the ATR42/72 range and Airbus family of aircraft are all supported on a regular basis. Wide-body aircraft projects include the Boeing 767, B787, B777 and B747 types, as well as Airbus A330, A300, A340 and A380.

We provide a personalised aircraft movement planning service around the world 365 days a year to assist airlines, aircraft leasing companies and aircraft owners with ferry flights, acceptance or demonstration flights and post maintenance test flights.

Services are provided for all aircraft types and registers, and includes in-house provision of flight planning, fuel uplift, overflight / landing permissions, flight tracking and ground handling arrangements thus ensuring operations are supported efficiently and cost effectively in any part of the world.
